CHATEAU DUPLESSIS
MOULIS
60% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc; 2% Petit Verdot

PROFILE:

The predominance of Merlot in the vineyard gives Chateau Duplesis its special character as a wine from the mid-Medoc region. Located on a sand-limestone soil -- ideal for Merlot -- Ch. Duplesis is an 18 hectare property owned by Marie-Laure Lurton. The ripeness achieved by the Merlot, complemented by the Cabernet components, gives a full-flavored Medoc wine with remarkable complexity. It is classically made with a 20 days vatting period and is aged in oak casks (20% new) for one year. The bouquet fuses violets, spice and dark fruits which can also be tasted. Chateau Duplesis is a generous, elegant wine that represents fine value.
